PAIA MANUAL
Prepared in accordance with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act
1. INTRODUCTION
This manual is designed to facilitate the requests for access to records of DLA-Accounting as provided for in the Act. PAIA gives effect to the constitutional right of access to any information held by the State and any information that is held by another person and that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.

3. THE SECTION 10 GUIDE
The Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has compiled a guide containing information for any person who wishes to exercise any right contemplated in the Act. Please contact the SAHRC or the Information Regulator for more details.
4. RECORDS HELD BY DLA-ACCOUNTING
We maintain records on the following categories and subject matters:
- Internal Records: Financial records, Operational records, Intellectual property.
- Personnel Records: Employment contracts, Training records, Salaries and Benefits.
- Client Records: Financial statements, SARS submissions, Client correspondence.
- Other Parties: Supplier records, Service Level Agreements.
5. THE REQUEST PROCEDURE
To request access to a record, the requester must use the prescribed form (Form C or Form 2) and submit it to the Information Officer. A request fee may be payable before the request is processed.
Availability
This manual is available for inspection at our offices and on our website. It is updated annually to remain compliant with the Information Regulator’s requirements.
